Guide to Fail in Digital Marketing in 2024...
December 13, 2025 by Thelma Mendoza
Here’s a very short text about the perfect steps that lead us to digital failure. Yes, you heard that right, check this out:
44.6% of microenterprises have a website with a business domain or social media, while this percentage is higher among small businesses at 57% and medium-sized businesses at 71.5%.
Well, starting with this data, we can already realize that some of us, or most of us, don’t have the essential elements to be present on social media, and let’s not even talk about digital media.
Here are the steps to ensure you head straight for failure in your digital efforts:
- Sell, sell, and sell: Offer, pressure, like a timeshare salesperson, promise so much that they can't resist. Don’t offer any value.
- Buy followers, so that 99% of your followers never engage with the content you put so much effort and money into, and then blame your agency for not working. That’s the cool move.
- Never share what you know. That will get you closer to your goal of failure.
- Get involved with religion, politics, and ideologies. Share opinions about things you don't even understand.
- Keep your profile neglected, and don't forget to use that pixelated photo of a landscape you took on the go as your profile picture.
- Share news/gossip from unreliable sources so your audience stays informed.
- Post photos of your business or products without any production, this is a classic!
- Don’t forget to hire the “cheap” or inexperienced Community Manager who’s a jack-of-all-trades—this will ensure you reach your goal of failure perfectly.
- Don’t let the experts do their job, tell them how to do things. That’s cool.
- Abandon your digital channels.
- Ah, don't forget to post motivational quotes! It's better than talking about your industry or expertise.
- Post your woes, that never fails.
- Don’t forget to pray on social media. God is everywhere.
- Don’t respond to anyone who interacts with your posts, don’t engage. In the end, just delete and block them. That’s a surefire way to fail, right?
- Remember, advertising and being present whenever a customer needs you is just an expense. So, it's better not to do it. That way, no one will ever find you.
- Post with spelling mistakes, that’s really important these days.
- Never innovate, stay far away from social media.
Well, that’s my report. I sincerely hope you don’t follow this guide and that your businesses are very productive in 2024. Always surround yourselves with professionals who have experience.
See you next time!
